Today I have 2 things to post. The first are some lovely "bows" that my daughter made. She's 5 going on 25 and loves to make stuff. She says these are bows. I say...ok. Anyway, she asked if I would post on her blog. I had to explain that she could put them on mine, but that she doesn't have a blog. She was thinking about the kid's challenges some blogs have and decided that this meant she could have a blog of her own. Which, I guess she could, but I'm already busy with mine...she would want to be posting everyday with everything she made...Whew! Do you know how many coloring sheets and stuff that would be from a kindergartener? OMG!
So anyway, I've made her mad, but she has agreed to post her magnificent artwork her on my little blog. Ha ha. Hope you like 'em. They are, OF COURSE, special to me ;)
They are made with ribbon from Walmart and Mickey Mouse die cuts.
Here are my projects. Cute little treat bags to give my baby's Kindergarten Teacher and Assistant, and her Sunday School teacher. These are cut from Doodlecharms at 5 1/2". I used a tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers to make the inside container that joins the bag cuts. I had to alter the dimensions slightly, but I think it came out pretty cute.
I'm gonna link these up at Crafty Sprouts Candy Goes Here Challenge . My new friend Karen is having a challenge over at her place Little Scrap Pieces , I'm gonna link up over there too.
Don't forget to comment and post about my give away.......
Have a GREAT Saturday!
Be Blessed, Beckie

I agree -- your daughter is a budding artiste!! She has imagination and talent, as well as encouragement ... that's all it really takes in this world, don't you think? And your bags aren't "kinda cute", they are WAYYYYYY cute! Love the rippled edges at the top of the bag. I'm sure they will be super-loved.
ReplyDeleteI'm off to an all-day crop with some ghoulfriends I've met here online. OMG, you wouldn't believe the CAR FULL of stuff I've packed for just one day's crafting. This is the result of BAD PLANNING on my part. I had to take it ALL! I came to the computer here to download my digi-art files onto a thumb drive. HA .. as if! Now if I could only figure out how to pack up my hacking-big sewing machine and bring it too!!!
You know what I need? A week, at the beach, to craft with friends. Come along, will you?
Hop over to my blog to see an important obituary, "R.I.P., Big Shot."
