Operation Write Home Blog Hop

Hey All! Thanks so much for stopping by! This blog hop is super special to me. Special for 2 reasons: 1. It's my first blog hop. YAY! 2. I'm a former military wife. My husband spent several years in the National Guard serving active duty quite a few of those years. He did a tour in Belgium and fought many forrest fires when the guard was needed to help with the natural disaster.

Hope you enjoy my card. Click to follow...I super like friends and comments :) Come back soon!

Be Blessed, Beckie

  8. The small yellow bows all over the tree are such a sweet, subtle "missing you" message for the troops. This would make a nice any hero card. Congratulation on your first hop and thanks for supporting Operation Write Home!

  17. Hi Beckie!

You're such a peach for participating in this hop for our soldiers' cards.

I'm not sure if Stickles would be included in this (maybe), but it's my understanding that OWH cards can't have glitter on them. The rationale is that glitter can fall off on their uniforms, making the glint more visible at night to the enemy. Again, I doubt Stickles would cause as much consternation because it's glitter GLUE, but to be on the safe side, avoid it. THAT is a shame, because I LOVE how you glittered the embossing on the tree! SO pretty!!!

You've come such a long way with your crafting and your blogging... it's hard to believe you're only 3 weeks into it!

    Fondly,
    Ellen ♥ CardMonkey
