Christmas Card

Alrighty we made it through Monday!!! YAY!  I've got about 1/2 my Christmas shopping done. I just can't shop in August for Christmas presents....first of all I would end up giving it to the person before Christmas and secondly August doesn't feel Christmasy.

I've got 2 cards to share ...I've been digi crazy lately.

I used papers from a Mambi sheets pack. The digi is from Digi Darla. I colored it with my pencils. I added My Craft Spot ribbon.

I continued the paper on the inside with a strip down the side. The sentiment is a stamp from 'Tis the Season - My Craft Spot.

For this card I used kraft cardstock for the base. I used walmart ribbon and some shining accent pieces. This is another Digi Darla image. I colored with my pencils. The inside has the same sentiment as the above pictured card.

My lil girl colored this digi. It's the one I used in yesterday's post. I didn't have a picture of it yet or I would've shared with my card.

When I craft she's always right beside me; it's great. So...when I am coloring she has to have a copy too. Thank goodness once you download a digi you can print more than one....haha.

I think she did a great job. She, of course, did not. She gets mad when she does what we call "scribble scrabble". She can do great, but sometimes gets wild and goes outside of the lines...this makes her mad (she's an over-achieving kindergartener). She doesn't like this picture cause she messed up the scarf. OMGoodness! LOL.

Thanks for stopping by. I sure do love it!

Fantabulous Cricut

It's Challenge Me Monday at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog!!!! This week's project is to use ribbon (and a cricut cut ;0) ) on your project.

Our sponsor this week is        My Craft Spot

As a design team member for Fantabulous Cricut I was in a drawing for a sample of product from this week's sponsor. YAY! I was picked! Mrs. Kimberly was kind enough to send me over some crinkle ribbon in 2 gorgeous blues and a pure white.

So here is my card....

I used Kim's pretty ribbon. I cut my wiseman (4") and sentiment (2") from Winter Frolic. The base is kraft cardstock. The patterned paper is a K & Co. pack. The other papers are standard wal-mart cardstock.

I hope you found some inspiration with my card. Now hop over to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog and link-up your project for Challenge Me Monday using ribbon (and a cricut cut).

Made Especially 4 You

It's also time for another challenge at Made Especially 4 You. This week's challenge is to use Snow.

Our sponsor for this week is KnK Designs

Here is my card....

I used 2 images from K n K and put them together. The trees are a freebie that I doubled. The super cute doggie is Kolar (only $1 - WOW!).

I colored with pencils and added some glitter and snow effect. I used papers from a Mambi sheets Christmas pack. I blinged with buttons I got at wal-mart. The sentiment is from a Christmas stamp set I got at Hobby Lobby. I made it an easel card.

Now you can get to work and hop over to Made Especially 4 You and link-up your project that uses snow.

Christmas Decoration Blog Hop

Thanks for joining me today for the Christmas Decoration Blog Hop. Hosted by the crafty Becka of Creations with Becka , this is a hop for Christmas Decoration inspiration.

If you arrived here from the talented Dana , then you're in the right place. If you just started, then please go back and check out all the great stuff starting with Becka .

Becka has an awesome GRAND-PRIZE ...but in order to win you must comment on every stop :)

For my project today...I didn't use my cricut :0( but I still want to share it because it was SO simple and SO cheap to make. I think it's super cute...even though I failed to get a picture that showed just how cute.

Here is my $5 wreath...(that I have decided you could do for $3) Hee hee.

I got this wreath ($1) and bow ($1) (with jingle bells not pictured) at the Dollar Tree. I already had the hanger, but you can get it at the Dollar Tree ;0). I already had floral wire, but you could use bread twist ties. I got these penguins as an ornament pack from Big Lots....which the Dollar Tree has very similar ones for...you guessed it...$1

I simply attached the bow and the penguins and VOILA! It's kinda like that show where the lady cooks and makes with store bought stuff but she puts her own twist on it and it's almost homemade.

I also made some using the traditional metallic ball ornaments (sorry no pic). They are even cuter (I dare say).

So I hope you liked my wreath. Here's the line-up in case you get lost....

3 Girl Jam Wednesday's Guest Designer

Great Wednesday friends. I am super excited because...I am guest designer at 3 Girl Jam today!

3 Girl Jam

A Lil About 3GJ
from the Owner Julie....
We are a small family oriented company ran by me (Julie) and my two daughters (Avery and Mackenzie). We are 3 girls dedicated to bringing you a high quality hand-dyed ribbon that you will enjoy crafting with- as much as we do!

Julie also has her own crafty blog Little Bit of Bling .

I'm sure if you are a follower of my blog you have seen 3GJ ribbon on some of my projects. I just love it!

Here is a super-cute ornament that I have made for today's post. It shows just how beautiful and vivid the color is in the ribbon. I used the color Cherry Lipstick.

I cut 2 circles at 4" with the cart Cherry Limeade. I made a 2" rosette. I applied some adhesive to the outter edge of the circle's wrong side and placed the ribbon in a zig-zag type ruffle. I left enough at the end to make the hanger. Then I put some adhesive on the wrong side of the other circle and sandwiched the two together. The paper is from a Christmas glitter pack.

This ornament looks super nice on the tree.

I thought we might revisit a couple of cards that I had previously made using 3GJ ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed today's project and 3GJ. The awesome Julie is offering a lil candy. If you're interested here is what you should do...

1. Leave a comment on this post.

Great Saturday to all my crafty friends. Thanks for stopping by to see the 2 Day Christmas Card Blog Hop hosted by my friend Becka of Creations with Becka .

If you just came from my crafty friend Dana then you are hopping in the right direction. If you just started with me, please be sure to start back at Becka and see all the great ideas along the way.

Becka is offering a Grand-Prize to one lucky hopper. In order to be qualified you gotta comment on all hops along the way.

So here is my card......

I used Winter Frolic and Create-a-Critter. The trees are cut at 4" and the turtle at 1".  I distressed the bottom part of the blue paper to join it to the white base. I blinged it all with MS tinsel glitter.

My daughter is mad at me because she says I should've used a penguin. She says turtles do not play in the snow. LOL. I said, I know. She went further to critic my card saying that trees do no wear hats. ;0)

She's a crafter in the making and she knows all...so in the future I will be consulting her before posting anymore cards that do not make sense. LOL.

Here are some cards to re-visit. You may or may not have seen them here on my blog before.

Now it's time to get hopping. Here's the line-up in case you get lost along the way. Your next stop is my friend Tanya .
