Hey All! Hope your Thanksgiving was AWESOME!
Now...time to start the countdown to Christmas. YAY!
Thanks so much for stopping in today and joining us for the 2 Day Christmas Gift Blog Hop hosted by Becka from Creations with Becka .
You're gonna find lots of creative gifts that you can make for your friends, family, loved ones, co-workers, children's teachers, etc.
If you came from the super talented Dana of Dana's Crafty Corner, then you're in the right place. If you just stopped by please start at the beginning with the crafty Becka at Creations with Becka .
I've made some super cute boxes to put candy in for the girls around the office. I think they will love 'em.
You can always use a piece of candy and since there are several ladies in the office it doesn't break the bank to get all of them a lil box of candy.
The patterned papers are from a DCWV Christmas Glitter Stack. The solid papers are from a Recollections assorted colors pack and some are Wal-mart standard cardstock.
The toboggin is cut at 4" from the Gingerbread cartridge. The picture frames are made from a Martha Stewart punch using the negative and positives.
The stamp is from a My Craft Spot set called 'Tis the Season. I won them from an awesomely talented crafty friend at My 3 E Scrapbooking . The santa clause is from Walmart in Studio G.
The penguin and the trees are cut at 3" from the Winter Frolic cartridge. The stocking is cut at 3" from the Gingerbread cartridge.
Here are some simple pics that show you how easy these boxes go together. I used an Elmer's tape runner and some Zip Dry paper glue.
Start with an 8 x 8" piece of cardstock of whatever paper you want to be the outer portion of the box. Score the paper at 2" all the way around. You can see the four places where you cut into the edges to make the corners.
Now whatever cardstock you want to be the liner of the box cut to be 8 x 8" and score in 2" all the way around. Cut out the 4 corners (4 small, outer squares).
Now flip over the liner paper. To the edges run the tape runner. Here I used some awesome crinkle ribbon from my stash. I have it from My Craft Spot and 3 Girl Jam . Both are great and I love 'em.
Now make the box. Flip the liner back over and place inside the patterned paper . I used some Zip glue to adhere the bottom and the sides.
I hope you like the boxes. I know my friends will. If something isn't real clear on how to make or you'd like some more detailed info...just drop me a comment with your email and I would be happy to walk you through a box.
Now it's time to get hopping. Please make sure you comment and each blog so you can win Becka's grand prize for the hop.
